Who are the Essenes?
The Essenes are a group of people who live
peacefully as a way of life. They have been in community for about 2000
years. The Essenes of today practice living a life of peace,
love and compassion. Their purpose
is to be of service in the world and teach peace and support people in healing their
lives.
Their teachings are based on the writings of the Dead Sea Scrolls
discovered in the caves in Qumran, Israel in 1947.
